Congratulations to Johann Kailey-Steiner won got first place in Engineering at the regional science fair!
He will be going on to the Colorado State Science and Engineering fair on April 11 -13. Johann won 4th place and 2nd place the past two years.
This year, Johann took advantage of an opportunity to test rockets in the wind tunnel at the Fluids Thermal Lab at the University of Colorado Denver for his project Rocket Design Part 3: Exploring the Effect of Vortex Generators on Boundary Layer Airflow. His project garnered him a Best in Show award at the Grant science fair and first place for 8th grade at the DPS District Science Fair.
